NHL Top 2010-11 Rookies: Number 4
The five-part countdown of the top five rookies who will have the greatest impact this season continues with number four. This defenseman scored points at a consistent pace in a late-season callup with the Carolina Hurricanes.
Number Four: Jamie McBain, defenseman Carolina Hurricanes
McBain played very well throughout last season. both at the AHL and NHL levels. He was able to rack up forty points in the AHL with a plus-minus rating of +11 in sixty-eight games. Once he reached the NHL level, he scored ten points in fourteen games. There are rumors that McBain may be on the one of the first two defensive lines for the Hurricanes. If that happens, McBain could be a force at both ends of the ice. While McBain's statistical pace will fall somewhere between his AHL and NHL paces from last season, he could still easily post fourty points in a full season.
Look for Number Three in the countdown of the top NHL rookies for 2010-11 tomorrow.
